Altar GuildAltar Guild

The Altar Guild is charged with the sacred task of preparing the altar and the sanctuary for worship. Teams of altar guild members work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that our worship is beautiful and holy. Men and women of all ages are welcome to join the Guild.

Bible Studies

Bible StudyOur bible study groups follow a variety of exciting and illuminating scripture study programs. The purpose is to understand the Scripture better and to wrestle with tough questions. Participants find that they’re better equipped to use Scripture in their everyday lives. Our main Bible study is led by Fr. Jonathan right after our church service on most Sunday mornings at 11:30 am. Other lay led Bible studies happen throughout the year. No previous experience of reading or studying Scripture is necessary.

ChoirChoir

Saint Augustine of Hippo once said, “When you sing, you pray twice.” Our choir leads us in song during the 10 am service from September through May. The music is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings. The choir is always happy to have one more voice!

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Lay Eucharistic MinistersNot every member of our community can be with us on Sunday mornings. Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) faithfully bring the sacrament of Holy Communion to the frail, the sick, and the home-bound of our community. LEMs are trained and licensed by the diocese. This is a very special ministry that involves sensitivity, reverence, and courage. Those who feel a calling to this ministry should contact Father Jonathan. If you would like to request a visit from one of our dedicated LEMs, please call the church office.

Lay ReadersLectors and Chalicists

Our lectors are an essential part of our Sunday morning worship. They read lessons from the bible, lead the congregation in prayer, and help to administer Holy Communion. Training sessions occur each September, but new lectors are always welcome.

Discipleship Hour

Discipleship HourThe Discipleship Hour is a series of lively and thought provoking presentations, discussions, and classes. Lasting about fifty minutes and meeting just after the 10:00 am Sunday service, the Discipleship Hour is the perfect way to enrich your spirit and strengthen your faith.

No sign-up is required for classes and all are welcome. If you have questions, please contact the rector using the “contact us” link above or call 610-789-6754.

Anglicanism 101

Anglicanism 101This five week course is designed for those who are new to the Anglican/Episcopal tradition, but it is also an excellent refresher course for lifelong Anglicans. The course also prepares adults for Confirmation or Reception into The Episcopal Church. Space is limited so those who are interested should call the church office or speak with the priest after church.

Listen to audio from earlier Anglicanism 101 classes.
